This is what happened when I dropped a 45 pound weight bar on my foot a the gym. It has been a month and it still isn't healed, but that is probably because I have cut the soft cast off twice. The first time I cut it off and went back in to see the doctor he wasn't pleased that I'd removed it. I told him it is hard to jump rope with the boot....the jump rope gets caught in the velcro. He wasn't amused! So....he put another soft cast on and told me to leave it on. That lasted about 5 days and I couldn't stand it...cut it off again and canceled my next appointment.How long does it take to heal a broken foot?
